There is music for all ages at Lewes Presbyterian Church! From the littlest ones in Vacation Bible School and the Christmas Pagent, to the Chancel Choir--you are sure to find some music to enhance your worship experience.
- Our 25+ member Chancel Choir, led by Melanie Bradley, Music Director, is a dedicated group who presents a special anthem and leads the hymns at our 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship Service each Sunday morning. They present two very special 45-minute long cantatas at Easter and at Christmas. They also present special music at the Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday services. The choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Room on the second floor. We welcome new members.
- The Praise Band presents contemporary Christian music at our 9:15 a.m. worship service in the upstairs Fellowship Hall. We include music from such artists as Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster and many more. The band members sing, play electric piano, electric guitars, bass guitars, drums and occasionally, hammered dulcimer.
- This Classic Chimers’ group is an ensemble which re-creates Christian music with an instrument called “chimes.” With each meeting, the group’s members not only chime music but also enjoy Christian fellowship. The Classic Chimers meet weekly to play chimes (a light tube-shaped instrument played with a hand bell ringing technique) starting in September and terminating at the end of the Easter season. The Classic Chimers meet in the Library on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45 pm. New members are welcomed. If you would like to know more about chiming or if you would like to participate in the group, contact Judy Salvatore.
